I began my career in law enforcement in 2012, as a police-assistant for the Modesto Police Department, in the Animal Control Division. In September 2012, I was given an opportunity by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department, to become a Deputy Sheriff Trainee and was sponsored through an academy. I successfully completed and graduated from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Regional Training Center on April 15th 2013. I completed my Field Training, in August 2013, and I am currently assigned to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office Central Patrol Division.

During my Field Training, I was fortunate to have current and past K-9 handlers as a Field Training Officer, which allowed me to experience how to work with the Deputy and their K-9's during a deployment. I have always had an interest in K-9 Patrol, and in January 2014, I was selected to become an Agitator/Decoy for the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit.

In September 2014, I was selected as the newest K9 Handler. This is when I met my new partner, K9-Ace. We will be begin our training after a few weeks of bonding and eventually certify so we can help protect our community.
