I was hired by Sheriff's Department in 2012 as an Adult Detention Deputy. In my 4 years of working in Adult Detention I was able to work at all of the Detention Facilities and as a Transportation Deputy.

In 2016 I attended the POST Academy and transferred to Patrol. Since 2016 I've worked Patrol, Detectives, Mobile Field Force, and a K-9 Agitator. In September of 2019 I was selected as the newest K-9 Handler. I had the absolute honor to be paired with K-9 Hino who is named after Fallen Deputy Tony Hinostroza.

On 11/25/18 Deputy Sheriff Tony Hinostroza was killed in a vehicle crash as he responded to assist other deputies who were involved in a vehicle pursuit in Riverbank. Deputy Hinostroza was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, served with the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department for 19 years, and was a prior K-9 Handler.  K-9 Hino is a German Shepherd from the Netherlands. He enjoys work and were both looking forward to serving our community while honoring Deputy Tony Hinostroza.
