I began my career with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department in 2007. I have worked various assignments including the Coroner’s Office, Court Services, and Patrol (including the contract cities of Riverbank and Patterson). I have been a Field Training Officer and help train new Deputy Sheriffs. In February 2013, I joined the K9 unit as a Decoy/Agitator. During this time, I got the opportunity to learn how the current K9 handlers worked and trained with their dogs.
In August of 2013, I was selected as the newest K9 handler. I selected my canine partner Rex and we have been training and working together ever since then. K9 Rex is responsible for locating and apprehending violent criminals and protecting our community.
K9-Rex was born 2011 in Holland. Rex is extremely intelligent and I am extremely lucky to have such a wonderful partner.
