I have been a Deputy Sheriff with the Stanislaus County Sheriffs office for six and a half years. In that time I was assigned to the Custodial division as well as Patrol Operations. During my 6 plus years I have worked at the Men's Jail, Public Safety Center, and the Honor Farm. I was given the opportunity to further my career with Patrol Division in June of 2008 and after successfully completing Field Training, I was assigned as a solo beat Deputy in October of 2008. I was assigned to work out of the Main Office until October 2012. In October of 2012 I was given the opportunity to work in the City of Riverbank as a contract city Deputy which is my current assignment to date.

During my time with the Sheriff's Department I always had and interest in Patrol K9 deployment, So in 2010 I began my career path to becoming an K9 Handler. I have been assisting with the K9 unit for over three years and I cant imagine doing anything else in Law Enforcement. I was recently assigned to the K9 unit as and agitator after receiving my certificate for agitation from Adlerhorst Int in February 2012. Since acquiring my certificate I have been able to assist with the training and development of the Patrol K9's under the direction of the head trainer. This has been a rewarding and fulfilling part of my career and I look forward to many more years with the unit.

In August 2013, I was selected as the newest K9 handler. I selected my partner K9-Rocky and we have been together ever since. K9-Rocky is responsible for apprehending some of Stanislaus County's most violent criminals.

In January of 2016, K9 Rocky was stabbed multiple times while apprehending a violent criminal. K9 Rocky made a full recovery and still works patrol today. In May of 2016, K9 Rocky received the Heroes Award from the American Red Cross 10th Annual Heroes Award Banquet.
